I’m so excited about Charming Jeff, the seventh and final book of the Finding Perfect series. He took a different direction than what I’d been expecting and I’ve found a new and exciting path. I’ve talked about it several places, so I think for fun, I’ll actually see if you notice the difference and let me know!

I have a very exciting 2017 planned! I know I personally fell in love with the Noland family from Racing to Love. After Alex’s Destiny was released, I had gobs of questions about Jack! Truth is, I wasn’t ready to leave them behind either, but the series was in control. I know, I sound like a nut bag! Hahahaa. Y’all know me by now. So guess what I am doing! I am diving into Jack’s story now. It won’t be connected to Racing to Love, it’s the start of a new series. Right now, it’s tentatively called The Noland Legacy series. ???

I’m also very pumped and honored to announce I’ll be writing a story in Mari Carr’s Wild Irish kindle world. Whoohoo! I have always loved this series!!! If you haven’t, go read them, totally amazing! I’ll get to join over a dozen other amazing authors and add to the fun. She’s in the middle of writing the next generation, January Girl was just released, so time goes on.

I have a couple of other projects planned as well, but I really want to spend (what little free time I have these days) my precious minutes with Jackson Sterling. I’m already itching to type, but I’m still picking names, locations, and figuring out who his leading lady is, what she’s all about. That’s how I roll. I get to know my main characters and then the rest just goes from there. But damn it, I can’t pin down her name!

As for conferences, I’m pleased to announce I’ll be attending two this year! (could be more, but we’ll see!) I am so excited to join Renee Vincent, Erin McCarthy and Zoe York in the Hero’s Boardroom at Lori Foster’s Reader Author Get Together!!! Then I’ll be heading to the Indie Book Fest a short couple of months later.

When you add in the day job, husb and kids, you can see how fast my 2017 is going to whiz by! Please stay tuned. Now that I’ve figured out how to get back into my own freaking website, I plan to be way more active on here! Oh, and if you’re not already, make sure you follow my contests! It’s through Writerspace.com!! They do a huge monthly drawing and you can look for me! I really try hard to put a lot of thought into my prizes I offer.

Thank you all for your continued support and loyalty! I am sending y’all hugs!

Here we go!

Due to overwhelming response, I’ve decided to move forward with my seventh book in the Finding Perfect series. Follow along with me as I write, from the beginning, Jeff’s story. Under the tab for Jeff, you’ll see notes I make about the characters, some of which make no sense : ) feel free to ask. And yes, when he is completed, I will send him on to The Killion Group for editing, formatting, the spine and back cover and his butt will be published as the others are. ❤

With a lot of help from my dear friends at Writerspace, we’ve got the site ready. So…. y’all ready!

And I do ask, normally I would get a book of this size written in a matter of a month or so. Two max. However, with graduation, swim season for one, final dive season for the oldest, and a fifth grader moving on from elementary school, college info overload and oh,,, work… I’m a bit slower than normal LMAO!

But hugs!

I can’t wait for the remodel to be done! It’s starting to look like a house-well, in some places! LMAO.  I have a few things I need to post on the site but had to order a library’s worth of WordPress books and how to make the site do what you want it to (because if you scream at the laptop, it STILL isn’t going to magically do what you say!) ….

I’ve got so much info I want to get on the site. Like upcoming events I’ll be attending this year, so hopefully I’ll get to meet as many of you as possible!

And I have already started on both Jeff’s book for Finding Perfect, AND….. I have Jack Sterling’s story already coming to life right here on my best friend (AKA–laptop) For those of you who might be scratching your head right now…. he’s from the Racing to Love series. ; )

So in the meantime, y’all have a safe and happy New Year’s. And I can’t wait for the office work to slow down so I can type more!!!!

Shit! I lost my music! …. I yai yai!

I have said repeatedly in interviews how important music lyrics are to me when writing. I have to have total silence while writing, BUT!!!!! But listening to country music is what inspires a good eighty percent of my stories. One lyric my be the kernel I need for a scene, a character’s background, or hell–the whole damn book!

I often tweet out artists and songs I’ve depended on, and I was going to make a page here on the site and list each one out with the book I needed them for. But well, apparently in the last phone upgrade–that note was lost in the cloud, cyber world, who knows!

I have a pretty good idea of what songs are with what book, and I’m going through my hundreds of iTunes songs and all the artists to rebuild that list for you all. I’ll get it up and to you as soon as I can, but ugh! Technology bit me in the ass! See—-this is why I’m a paper girl! ( Or as husb said, I’m a legal pad girl in and iPad world )…. LMAO……

Hugs, A

Don’t forget!!! Tues!!!  Easton’s big debut! xoxoxox

11-13-15 … Oh my Friday the 13th???? LOL

I have to shout out from the roof tops a warning–there will be some very ugly dancin’ going on next Tuesday the 17th! …. Easton’s Everything releases then, it’s book # 6 in the Finding Perfect series. I had blast — and a difficult time writing this guy!

Easton himself, he was already defined in Drew’s book. As Hope’s bossy cousin, I already knew his personality through and through. However, I have a VERY close friend, (think sister close!) who asked if she could be in Easton’s book after I showed her the model shot I’d chosen for his cover. I thought she was joking! Oh no! Jessica was NOT!

And so Jessica Pierce (I did change her last name) was developed. Do you have any idea how hard it is to write romantic scenes when picturing a real person? — (Smirk—moving on to evil giggles) EXACTLY!  I hadn’t even used a name of someone I knew, let alone actually make her my main character! Oh…but Jessica Pierce came to life! And she became the one person, on a romantic level, not afraid of Easton, not afraid to take him on, sass him or plain just piss him off. — I love her!

I hope you all will find their story filled with fun, humorous and sexy banter. I want you to enjoy their journey and I can’t wait to hear what you think! Have a great weekend and please keep coming back to the website. Now that Easton is releasing I have a bit more time to devote to this world. I want to keep adding new facts and fun things for you all. If there ever anything you want to know about the books, the characters, the future stories…ask away! amy@amygregoryauthor.com I’ll answer! Have a great weekend!

Finding Perfect Series

MIKE’S WAY BACK — Book # 1

When Detective Mike Sterling left the Chicago PD and returned to his hometown of Renlend Kansas, he tried to convince himself it was so his mother could stop worrying. The truth was, even Renlend wasn’t going to vanquish the dreams that tortured him at night.

When Taryn Watts landed in Renland Kansas to design a client’s new cooking school she intended to stay just long enough to do the job and then go right back to her life on the East Coast.

When Taryn and Mike found themselves sharing a booth, one thing was certain, neither one of them thought it was a good idea. Mike still wasn’t over his ex-wife’s betrayal, and when Taryn found out Mike was a cop she wanted to run all the way back to Connecticut and never look back, but she couldn’t… Sitting outside his home late at night she watches him fight against his demons. Demons she already had too much experience with firsthand.

When Mike finally admits there is no way to outrun his demons, Tayrn knows she’ll do anything, or be anything, to help Mike find his way back.

Gabby James didn’t have the idyllic childhood many in her little hometown of Renlend, Kansas had. High school was a living hell, but when she graduated she couldn’t bring herself to leave Renlend. The town was her prison, but her family’s bookstore, The Looking Glass, was her one true love. It was the place she could run to, and escape the prying eyes of the ones who taunted her.
Shane Compton was a literary agent in one of the most prestigious publishing houses in New York City. He found no greater rush than finding the next big talent, someone who could take the written word and turn it into an art form. In the span of one rude phone call Shane was drawn into the mystery of just who the fiery new author from Kansas was. When everyone else in the office refused to deal with her, Shane willingly accepted the challenge. There was no logic to the madness, but every time he had contact with her, she drove him wild.
Gabby tried every trick in the book to keep Shane at arm’s length, but he had made good on his promise to come to Kansas. He wanted to pull her out of anonymity, he wanted her in the public eye. Now here he stood, on the sidewalk in front her bookstore, and one look told her he was everything she was afraid he’d be. Too bad she was anything but who he thought she was.
Gabby quickly discovers Shane has more on his mind than just books and with a little help from an ornery matchmaker, he shows her a whole new life through her looking glass.

TYSON’S WAR — book # 3

Leaving his last foster home, Tyson Ellison signed his name on the dotted line and checked out entirely, looking for something he felt missing. Four tours of service over-seas, too much death, too much violence, brought him back stateside. He was tired, drained, and still empty with nothing left to give. He hopped on his Ducati and headed northwest from his base in Georgia, the only place he’d ever called home. Fate ran him out of gas in the tiny town of Renlend, Kansas with nothing but his Army-issued duffle holding a few meager belongings.
For two years Dianna’s father has made sure something around their family-owned Bed and Breakfast needed attention. Tyson’s attention. His handy-man skills put them in each other’s space on a regular basis, her dad pointing out the vet’s attributes regularly. She isn’t oblivious, she’d memorized each one. Tyson’s body was made for the movies, and so he kind of flirted with and smiled at her. Always managed to speak to her when he is there working.
But in what lifetime would a ripped, tanned, tattooed Army veteran want with the shyest girl in town? Especially someone as plain Jane as her.

DREW’S LAST HOPE — book # 4

Drew McKnight has always had a killer smile. Girls first, then women fell for it. Add that to his magnetic personality and Drew has never known a stranger. Growing up in the quaint town of Renlend, Kansas he had everything he’d always wanted, including his high school sweetheart.
Then he blinked. In one moment of sheer hell, his entire world crashed down around him. His heart was torn in two pieces and he didn’t know how to move forward. Except…he had no choice not to.
Hope’s career came to a screeching halt one night on stage in front of a packed house. Her entire life’s work went down the drain. Using the same determination that got her to New York in the first place, she started over. She’s been dealt a crappy hand—twice, but she won’t let any of that interfere with her new life. No more toe shoes, tutus or men. She’s in a new town, ready for a new start.
Until she turned around and fell in love with the most precious brown eyes she’d ever seen.

RYAN AT LAST — book # 5

How can one man’s tux fitting change a life forever? Ryan Seely has no idea, but she can’t seem to escape the storm blowing through her world when Blaine Decklen stops by for what should have been a routine appointment.

Jaded. Tired. Loyal. Blaine Decklen wouldn’t miss his brother’s wedding for the world, even if spending time in small town Kansas is the last thing he has time for. The summer heat isn’t the only thing that has Blaine’s nerves snapping and popping when he reaches for the door handle of Ryan Seely’s bridal shop, though.

She’s firmly planted in Kansas. He’s certain he’s lost his mind. Can Blaine prove fairy tales really do come true? Or is he too late to get the girl?
